The third and final instalment in the explosive YA Blood for Blood series which started with Vendetta and Inferno. (From Goodreads)
I have been WAITING for this book since I devoured the first two in a panic-induced haze prior to a surgery. I’m a criminology major and probably shouldn’t love books about the mafia, but whatever sue me.
This is the final book in the trilogy and I think it was not as bad as it could’ve been. That sounds like a backhanded compliment, but it’s true. Look, this is a high fictionalized version of the mafia so you’re going to get some highly fiction scenarios (you only kill people for good and don’t deal in drugs? Cool cool cool.) Suspend your disbelief.
The main character wasn’t super annoying and I really liked the portrayal of PTSD and how Sophie worked through her grief. Oh and a love triangle that was actually realistic? Cool cool cool.
Either way, it was cute. It ends in a happy ending, but you know what? GOOD. If it had ended any differently, I honestly would’ve felt cheated.
